Let us come together and reason says the Lord in Isaiah 1:18. It is a sad commentary to us when someone, no matter what caliber they may be, cannot or will not admit they are or have been wrong. How detestable before God an arrogant attitude that will discount an asserted scriptural claim by someone must be, when we have not even given that claim an honest assessment. One of the hardest things for prideful human nature is to admit we have been wrong and may very well be one of the biggest deterrents to learning truth. No human being is above being wrong and we have all been there, that is why we at Proper Preterism are willing to admit when we are wrong, in order to get right. To us that is a God honoring approach that has brought much enlightenment and is an attitude that will enable us to continue to learn and grow together. We believe taking the time to reason the scriptures in conversation with others is a most effective method.
By becoming an enrolled participant with Proper Preterism you can ask those important and difficult questions without feeling awkward, and without fear of being looked at as someone that’s going to apostatize the faith. We will try to address questions and comments on each individual basis and when we don't have an answer, we will dig for one together because to us that's what it's all about. We take the word of God seriously and do not worry whether or not we are fitting in with the norm.
Proper Preterism is an active pioneer organization creating a safe harbor and freedom to ask questions that are often shunned. Instead of telling you what we think, we may ask you questions to get you thinking while taking a deeper look at scripture, we believe that to be a better approach than telling you what to think. We will in no means steer clear of controversy—not for the sake of controversy—but to find the truth then by all means possible, share it and apply it to our daily lives. We do not put ourselves in any man made box that many feel compelled to stay within, God's Word is always our final authority and it is His truth that makes us free. We hope you will join us in that freedom.
